Global Joint FCPF – UN-REDD Programme REDD+ Knowledge Exchange Day : Session 5: Synergies on land-use/REDD+ in countries’ INDCs submitted to the UNFCCC and national strategy documents and REDD+ programmes -- November 2015

This session includes discussions on how land use has been covered in INDCs submitted by REDD+ countries. More specifically, the session starts with an introduction to Lima guidance on INDCs, followed by findings of a comparison of forest targets and accounting approaches in INDCs compared with REDD+ strategy documents and programs. REDD+ country representatives provide commentaries on their INDCs with view to land use. Finally, panellists and the plenary discuss experiences from the INDC processes, discuss potential gaps/mismatches in INDCs and REDD+ strategies and programs, lessons learned for the way forward, etc.
