Bhutan environmental safeguards and multiple benefits workshop report

As a part of the National REDD+ strategy development, a three day workshop on REDD+ Environmental Safeguards and Multiple benefits was held from 10 October, 2012 at Hotel Galing at Paro. The workshop was organized by the Watershed Management Division, Department of Forest and Park Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests in collaboration with the UN-REDD Asia and the Pacific office, Bangkok (United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) targeted support programme). Around 35 officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Dzongkhags, College of Natural Resources, Department of Hydropower Services, NGOs and private individuals attended.
