Côte d'Ivoire Announcements
A new video has been launched highlighting lessons and experiences on Safeguards from Africa. The video provides key lessons learned and experiences from participating countries in the UN-REDD Programme Africa Regional Exchange on Country Approaches to Safeguards held in Nairobi in June 2015. The workshop brought together 33 participants from 19 African countries, and 3 participants from Costa Rica, Mexico and Viet Nam. The video highlights participating countries’ opportunity to share experiences and jointly build capacities on country approaches to the Cancun safeguards during South-South Learning Exchanges.
The three-day Knowledge Exchange on Policies and Measures in the framework of the REDD+ strategy launched today, 25 September 2015 in Abidjan with the participation of Madagascar, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia and Cote D’Ivoire. The workshop is organized by the UN-REDD Programme's regional Africa office and provides the space for learning and exchange of experiences between countries on the development of REDD + policies and measures.
As per an intersessional decision of the Policy Board on 3 June, Côte d'Ivoire became a UN-REDD partner country.
